We don't donate our own bar. We built a better one for the job.
A cocoa bar with almonds in it is the wrong thing to send to a school pantry, however good it tastes. The Give Bar answers a different brief: nothing in it that could trigger an allergy, more of what a skipped meal is missing, and a year on a shelf without refrigeration.

Why two bars, not one
The cheaper bar is what pays for the giving.
The bar you buy competes on taste in a crowded aisle. The Give Bar is bigger, nut-free and good for a year on a shelf, because that is what the person receiving it needs. Building each one for its own job keeps the pair close to a dollar, and that is what pays for a whole second bar instead of a token donation.
